Robert S. Iwrey has been named a Super Lawyer for his achievements in healthcare law every year since 2010. Mr. Iwrey is a founding shareholder with The Health Law Partners, P.C. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. While at the University of Michigan, he was an Executive Member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor society. In 1993, Mr. Iwrey earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and was an award-winning member of Moot Court. Mr. Iwrey has been a practicing litigator since 1993. In addition, he has been practicing healthcare transactional law since 1999. Mr. Iwrey provides counsel in all areas of healthcare law, including but not limited to licensure, staff privileges, contracts, physician practice issues, healthcare investigations and audit defense. Mr. Iwrey was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1993. Mr. Iwrey was also admitted to the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan in 2003, and to the New York Bar in 2009. Mr. Iwrey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member, Health Care Law Section), the State Bar of New York (Member, Health Law Section), the American Health Lawyer’s Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. Mr. Iwrey was elected by his peers to serve on the governing board of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section, Council from 2005 to 2011, where he served two (2) consecutive terms as its Treasurer and chaired its Pro–Bono Work Group. In addition, Mr. Iwrey has served on and chaired the Oakland County Medical –Legal Committee, served on and co–chaired the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section Website Committee, and has served on and chaired the Technology Subcommittee of the Health Care Law Section’s Substantive Law Committee. Mr. Iwrey has been awarded the distinguished AV rating by Martindale–Hubbell (the highest rating available) for every consecutive years since 2004 in recognition of his high level of skill and integrity, honored by d’Business Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Health Care/Corporate Compliance for 2010, 2012-2014, 2016 – 2018, and named as a Super Lawyer for Health Care Law in Michigan in 2010-2018, amongst other awards.
Joel M. Greenberg has been named a Super Lawyer for his achievements in healthcare law every year since 2010. Mr. Greenberg has extensive experience assisting physicians, medical groups, dentists, and other health care providers address the numerous business and legal issues that arise in their practices. Specifically, Mr. Greenberg counsels clients on all aspects of a transaction–from the initial phase of setting up an entity to establishing employment, partnership and shareholder agreements to ensuring all actions taken by the entity comply with the federal and state fraud, abuse, self-referral and professional misconduct laws and regulations. Moreover, he assists clients in the purchase, sale, and dissolution of their professional practices; helps them understand the intricacies of the malpractice insurance world; and counsels them on the myriad of other business and legal issues that confront them daily. Mr. Greenberg frequently speaks regarding health law issues at hospitals, medical societies, colleges, and bar associations. He has been awarded the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system–AV (preeminent). Mr. Greenberg is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross on Long Island, the Board of Trustees of Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David in Rockville Centre, New York, and is dedicated to several other not-for-profit organizations, such as the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, MJHS and UJA-Federation of New York. He has been a long time member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Medical Group Management Association. Mr. Greenberg served as the Managing Editor of the New York Health Law Update from 1998 through 2003 and was the Chairman of the Hospital and Health Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Greenberg received an undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and both a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Juris Doctor degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice both in New York and the District of Columbia. Mr. Greenberg is an Adjunct Professor of Health Law at the State University of New York’s College at Old Westbury. He is also a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th editions of the Legal Manual for New York Physicians, which is a collaborative publication by the New York State Bar Association and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
